Eligibility Criteria:
The eligible recipient(s) must be a Maine resident, 18 or under, and active in an amateur sporting activity that is not publicly funded. Some examples of this are sport camps, travel teams, lessons, and fees. If all applicants cannot be funded, the following is a list of criteria that will be taken into consideration.
Awards are based on the following priorities:
" Geographical location within the state (Knox, Waldo, and Cumberland Counties)
" Need of applicant
" Consideration of athletics Mikail participated in (Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, Golf, Tennis)
" Funds accessible at time of application
Award Amount:
The "MONEY" Athletic Foundation considers all applications from the state of Maine. The Board of Directors oversees fundraising activities to keep the Foundation fluid. In some cases the Foundation will ask applicants to match funds. The Foundation divides the annual balance of funds into quarterly allotments in order to support various sport seasons.
Application Deadline:
The "MONEY" Athletic Foundation accepts applications throughout the year. Awards will be given quarterly. Special consideration may be given if timeliness is an issue for the applicant.
